Can you make a circle using only straight lines and a square? Let's try.
Use a push pin to poke a hole at each of the dots on the pattern.
Use thread to connect the two points labeled "1" in one corner. Tape the end of thread on the back of the card to keep it from pulling through.
Now connect points labeled "2", "3", etc.
Repeat this for each of the other corners. What shape did you make?
