1. Obtain 3 soil samples. Number each sample and record where they came from if you know.

2. Look at your soil samples. In what ways are they the same? In what ways are they different? Work with your group to name at least 5 properties of soil. Write these properties in the following chart.

3. Now describe these properties for each soil sample and record your observations in the chart.
