model arm
2 large rubber bands
1 pipe cleaner
2 small rubber bands
scissors
2. The pipe cleaners will be used to hold the rubber bands to the model. When you are asked to attach a muscle, wrap the pipe cleaner around the skill stick at the appropriate groove, put the pipe cleaner through the rubber band, and twist the ends of the pipe cleaner. Make sure the ends of the pipe cleaner stick out to the side so they don't interfere with the operation of the arm. See Figure 1.

3. Start with the triceps. Attach one large rubber band from the "T" on the ulna to the "T" on the humerus. Note that the triceps attach on the underside of the arm. See Figure 2.

4. Next, attach the biceps. Attach one large rubber band from the "B" on the ulna to the "B" on the humerus. Note that the biceps attach on the top of the arm.
5. Finally, attach the deltoids. Attach two small rubber bands, one to the top and one to the bottom, at the letter "D". See Figure 3.

6. Put the ball into the socket and put each rubber band through one of the slots on the scapula. Your model is now complete.

2. Your model probably becomes disjointed easily. Why doesn't a real arm have this problem?
